The compressed air system in an industrial facility is among the most was wasteful users of energy. Approximately 50% of the compressed air in many facilities is used for purposeful work while the other 50% is considered waste. It is commonly found that 20% of the air is contributed to leakage, 15% can be accounted for in artificial demand, 10% attributed to inappropriate uses and the final 5% accounted for in dynamic losses.
Although many compressor distributors know a lot about compressors, many know little about efficient compressed air system design or downstream ancillary equipment and its overall impact on compressor efficiency. Most industrial air systems have grown and evolved into their current state. Things such as 24 hour 7 days a week production schedules do not always lend themselves to efficient compressed air system design.
Our industrial compressed air audits focus on the total compressed air system from compressor intake to each pneumatic application using air. We do not simply install a measuring box (like many of our competetors) which only measures compressors loads and interprets it through a manufacturers biased software. Our goal is to show you what the current operating costs of your system are, and offer comprehensive solutions to long-term compressed air system management and improved efficiency. We use the latest in metering technology to compare pressure, compressed air flow, and kilowatt consumption of the compressors to give a detailed analysis of the performance and cost of running your current system.
Whether you are designing a new compressed air system or interested in optimizing your current system arrangement Airmax can help.
