The Level Three compressed air audit includes all aspects of the Level Two audit but incorporates dew point monitoring of the air, leak detection of the compressed air system and an analysis of all point of use applications in the system. All flow, pressure, kilowatt, and dew point data is correlated and presented in report format including detailed documentation of major equipment and piping. Leaks are detected with ultrasonic leak detectors and tagged with a priority-based system using fluorescent laminated tags. Users in the compressed air system are analyzed and will be identified as appropriate or inappropriate users of the compressed air. The Level Three audits are recommended for facilities that use 50 horsepower or more and feel there may be considerable waste associated with the compressed air system. Older systems that have been added to and expanded over the years are usually very inefficient and will have many problems concerning quality and leakage.
